The Pacquiao-Margarito Fight According to Mexico's Papers

We all know what happened. Hence, we just checked how the Mexican print media treated the uneven match between Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines and Antonio Margarito of Mexico in Arlington, Texas Saturday night (Sunday noon in Manila).

What we have below are Sunday issues of selected Mexican (and two Panamanian) papers.  The victory of the Philippine sports hero will still hit Manila front pages tomorrow, Monday, 15 November.

Let the pictures speak:

"The Taste. Margarito Beaten.  Punished by Filipino Manny Pacman Pacquiao in 12 rounds who was crowned superwelterweight champion of CMD in a unanimous decision.  The Asian has not lost since 15 March 2005 after he fell before Mexican  Erik The Terrible Morales."

"Mexican Antonio Margarito received a harsh lesson from Filipino Manny Pacquiao during a stellar event last night in Arlington, Texas."
Panama's La Prensa:  "Pacquiao Added Another Crown."

"In his face. Tijuanese Tony Margarito could not handle the speed and strength of Manny Pacquiao, who was crowned the WBC super welterweight chanpion yesterday."

Panama's Mi Diario:  "Beating! The Super 'Pac-man' punches The Tornado of Tijuana."

"Margarito battered.  The Tornado of Tijuana lasted 12 rounds against the Devourer of Mexicans, Manny Pacquiao, who finally added his 8th title in Dallas."
